NSA Crane

Originally built during World War II as an ammunition production and storage facility, Crane’s legacy of technical excellence continues today. NSA Crane is powered by scientists, engineers, technologists, and skilled professionals who bring state-of-the-art expertise to some of the nation’s most complex security challenges. NSA Crane’s primary tenants, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) and Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA), serve as vital national assets, delivering mission-critical capabilities in electronic warfare, trusted microelectronics, radar, cybersecurity, and munitions to the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, and allied forces.

WestGate@Crane Technology Park

Located just beyond the gates of NSA Crane is the 750-acre WestGate@Crane Technology Park, a vibrant innovation district and important research destination for America’s robust defense industry. Home to more than 50 tenants, WestGate@Crane fosters collaboration between NSWC Crane, CAAA, large and small defense companies, and globally respected higher education institutions to facilitate the flow of groundbreaking innovation and ideas in and out of the base.
